CONTROVERSIAL federal Labor parliamentarian Kelvin Thomson has become involved in a community campaign to stop a proposed biodiesel factory being built near south-west Victorian wetlands.
Kelvin Thomson, the member for Wills who resigned from Labor's frontbench in 2007 after revelations he once provided a reference for Melbourne gangland figure Tony Mokbel, has urged Planning Minister Justin Madden to investigate concerns about environmental ramifications if the factory was built.
