European biofuel industry warned on Thursday it would launch a complaint with the European Union (EU) against U.S. rivals over their evasion of the EU's anti-dumping and countervailing duties.
The European Biodiesel Board (EBB), which represents the majority of EU biofuel producers, said there are strong and consistent indications that U.S. subsidized and dumped biodiesel continues to enter the EU market, either via triangular trade with third countries based on fraudulent declarations of origin, or through blends specifically designed to circumvent the EU duties.
