BEIJING, Jan 21 - China's largest offshore oil and gas producer China National Offshore Oil Corp has started making diesel from Jatropha in southern Hainan province, local media said, the first such project operated by a state-run company.
The report said the plant, able to produce 60,000 tonnes of biodiesel per year, was equipped with refining facilities designed by top oil refiner Sinopec Corp <0386.HK>.
