Following a grant from the Green Municipal Fund (GMF) of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and its partner, Global Clean Energy Inc., a US public company, announce field testing of an innovative gasification project to convert Municipal solid waste (MSW) and industrial waste to synthetic gas and biodiesel. The testing is currently ongoing in Kingsey Falls in the Eastern Townships and will continue in the industrial park here in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
